How to Use Nebula Launch

Complete guide to creating your Solana SPL token

Prerequisites

Solana Wallet

You need a Solana wallet browser extension installed. We support:

  • Phantom (Recommended)

SOL Balance

Ensure you have sufficient SOL in your wallet:

  • Basic token creation: 0.3 SOL
  • With creator information: 0.4 SOL
  • Network fees: ~0.01 SOL additional

💡 Note: We're currently on Devnet for testing. Get free Devnet SOL from faucet.solana.com

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

Click the "Connect Wallet" button and select your preferred wallet. Ensure your wallet is set to the correct network (Devnet for testing).

⚠️ Security: Never share your private key or seed phrase. Nebula Launch will never ask for this information.

Step 2: Fill in Token Details

Required Information

  • Token Name: Full name of your token (max 32 characters)
  • Token Symbol: Ticker symbol (max 10 characters)
  • Token Image: JPG, PNG, or GIF file (max 5MB)
  • Decimals: Number of decimal places (0-18, default: 9)
  • Mint Amount: Total supply of tokens to create

Optional Information

  • Description: Brief description of your token (max 200 characters)
  • Website: Your project website (must be full URL: https://example.com)
  • Twitter: Twitter profile (must be full URL: https://twitter.com/handle)
  • Telegram: Telegram group/channel (must be full URL: https://t.me/handle)

⚠️ Important: Social media links must be complete URLs starting with https://. Handles like @username will not work.

Step 3: Configure Authority Settings

Choose which authorities to revoke. These actions are permanent and irreversible:

🚫 Revoke Mint Authority

Prevents anyone (including you) from creating more tokens. This makes your token have a fixed, permanent supply.

❄️ Revoke Freeze Authority

Removes the ability to freeze token accounts. This ensures tokens remain liquid and tradeable forever.

📝 Revoke Update Authority

Makes token metadata immutable. No one can change the name, symbol, description, or image after creation.

Step 4: Creator Information (Optional)

For an additional 0.1 SOL, you can customize the creator information in your token's metadata:

  • Custom creator name instead of "Nebula Launch"
  • Your own website link in the creator field
  • Professional branding for your token

If not enabled, the creator will default to "Nebula Launch" with our website.

Step 5: Review and Pay

Cost Breakdown

Token creation:0.3 SOL
Creator info (optional):+0.1 SOL
Total:0.3-0.4 SOL

Payment Process

  1. Click "Pay & Create Token" button
  2. Approve the payment transaction in your wallet
  3. Wait for payment confirmation
  4. Token creation begins automatically

Step 6: Token Creation Process

After payment confirmation, the following happens automatically:

  1. Your image is uploaded to IPFS for decentralized storage
  2. Token metadata is created and uploaded to IPFS
  3. SPL token is created on the Solana blockchain
  4. Specified amount of tokens are minted to your wallet
  5. Authority settings are applied as configured

✅ Success: You'll receive a popup with your mint address, transaction signature, and links to view your token on Solana Explorer.

After Token Creation

What You'll Receive

  • Mint Address: Unique identifier for your token
  • Transaction Signature: Proof of creation on blockchain
  • Tokens in Wallet: Full supply minted to your connected wallet
  • Metadata URI: Link to your token's metadata on IPFS

Next Steps

  • View your token on Solana Explorer
  • Share the mint address with your community
  • Add liquidity to DEXs like Raydium or Orca for trading
  • Build your token's ecosystem and community

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What's the difference between mainnet and devnet?

Devnet is for testing and development. Devnet SOL has no real value. Mainnet is the live network where real transactions occur. We'll launch mainnet support soon.

Q: Can I modify my token after creation?

Only if you don't revoke the update authority. If you revoke it, the token metadata becomes permanently immutable.

Q: Can I create more tokens later?

Only if you don't revoke the mint authority. If you revoke it, no additional tokens can ever be created - the supply becomes fixed.

Q: How do I get my token listed on exchanges?

After creation, you can add liquidity on decentralized exchanges (DEXs) like Raydium or Orca using your mint address. This makes your token tradeable.

Q: What happens if I lose access to my wallet?

You'll lose access to your tokens and any authorities you didn't revoke. Always securely backup your wallet's seed phrase.
